Our customers‘ satisfaction, safety and the quality of our products and production processes define the guiding maxim of our company. Handling resources respectfully is the driving force of our effort. We act within the scope of the process oriented management system on ISO 14001:2015 and take responsibility for the environment and our fellow people. Energy management plays an important role, we are certified with ISO 50001:2011. Our quality management is certified with ISO 9001:2015.
Our yarns are certified by Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Product Class 1 on an annual basis.
With DIOLEN®ReCircle we offer a product that is 100% made out of recycled PET. The possibility of dope dyeing enables us to produce colourful yarn and save up to 70% of the resource water.
We constantly strive to reduce our energy costs as much as possible through continuous modernisation of our machinery, combined heat and power generation with heat recovery going along with an intensive training of our staff making them aware how to play an active part in preserving the environment.
We invest continuously in modern energy-saving systems. We have been operating our own wastewater treatment plant for many years now and are familiar with internal and external auditing procedures in accordance with ISO 50001: 2011.
Environmental protection and freedom from pollutants are not only an important aspect of apparel textiles, but are also becoming more and more aware by the consumer. We were therefore one of the first companies to have our DIOLEN® polyester and TIMBRELLE® polyamide 6.6 yarn certified to the more stringent criteria of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® Annex 6. In doing so, we move beyond the usual market standards to give our customers maximum security. Our customers create RSL / MRSL lists of substances whose use they want to reduce or eliminate. We support this explicitly.
Yarns for clothing, home textiles and decorative fabrics often come from abroad and are not infrequently produced and processed under worst conditions for humans and the environment. Therefore, the decision of the TWD Fibers for yarn production in Germany is also a conscious decision to protect people and the environment.
TWD Fibers GmbH commits itself to the Code of Conduct of the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry. Through the voluntary commitment we acknowledge our corporate social responsibility. The Code of Conduct is based on the UN – Global Compact and encourages to always carefully weighing up economic, social and ecological issues in every entrepreneurial decision.
