As a fully integrated yarn producer we offer all processing levels of the value-added yarn processing chain for PES, PA and PBT with our state-of-the-art plant park and machinery.
We are market leader in Europe when it comes to polyester and polyamide 6.6 yarns for textile related and semi-technical applications. Starting from POY towards a variety of funtional specialities we offer our customers from the most diverse industry sectors tailormade yarn solutions.
In our cutting edge machinery plant we are spinning POY filament yarns in PES, PA, PP and PBT. Through our additive spinning process we provide the endless filaments with different functionalities according to the customers requirements. Upon request our inhouse experts develop special yarn requirement profiles in consultation with the customer. This is a challenge to our research & development department.
max. capacity: 30,000 jatos PA + PES
With an annual dope dyeing capacity of around 3,500 tonnes of PES textured yarn and a database containing recipes for some 500 different shades, we can meet virtually any colour requirement our customer may have. The customer's colours are measured, formulated and filed in our in-house laboratory. Using our test spinning unit, we are immediately able to process and visualise the colours required by the customer. Your benefits: you get all the colour management processes from a single source. We follow your projects through - from the initial colour concept to series production.
One of our core strengths is the production of POY polyester and polyamide 6.6 yarns. We produce 30,000 tonnes on an average, which respond to the needs of the most diverse markets.
Already our POY is "customised“ and not raw material "off the peg". The customer obtains preoriented yarn that during the production process has already been adapted to the susequent processing. The entire polyester ratio of 15,000 tonnes as well as the majority of our polyamide 6.6 is undergoing the subsequent value adding steps of our yarn processing according to the requirement profiles of our customers.
Starting with the spinning process, additive spinning, texturising, twisting and dyeing - TWD Fibres offers you all processing levels from a single source. Our expertise which has been refined over decades forms the basis for a consistent high product quality and ensures safety in the application of our products.
Through the different value adding texturing steps at TWD Fibres the filament yarns are tailored to the heterogeneous needs of the customers or the application areas. Our filament yarns are in any case "customised“ and no products "off the shelf". The respective physical properties like volume or elasticity, moisture absorption or pilling effect are defined according to the respective application area. The different texturing processes form the character of the yarn. We are a renowned specialist in the production of friction or air-jet textured polyamide 6.6 or polyester yarns. Air-jet textured or the so-called taslan (PES) DIOLEN®
or (PA 6.6) TIMBRELLE®
combine the natural look and the haptic of a spun yarn with the positive properties of synthetic yarns such as fast drying, a high degree of regularity, strength and resistance to wear.
The crinkle or knit-de-knit process produces very elastic bouclé yarns, that we offer from dtex 150 to dtex 850 with up to 240 filaments as raw white or coloured yarns.
With an annual package dyeing capacity of over 5,000 tonnes and a recipe database containing up to 15,000 shades TWD is market leader in Europe when it comes to dyeing polyester and polyamide 6.6 yarns. On an average we carry out around 2,000 colour samplings per year. Our state-of-the-art colour laboratory calculates recipes and dyestuff dosing fully automatically, allowing custom colour requests to be matched in a very short time. We make sure that our dyeing processes are as sustainable as possible with modern technology by using lean, environmentally friendly processes. An especially low-oligomer process and the use of environmentally friendly chemicals ensure the enhanced running properties of our polyester yarns and a higher product quality.
Whether process determined, for subsequent processing, or at customer request, we can provide the necessary finishing for our yarns. The filament yarn can be spooled onto cardboard- or dying tubes for cylindric spools; or cones can be manufactured. Spooling can be adjusted with regards to diameter, rigidity and layering, depending on the individual application.
As a specialist for filament yarns our prime priority is customer satisfaction. Through systematic in-house quality management
and an ongoing training of our production staff we are able to maintain the high product quality, an important hallmark of TWD Fibres.
Reliable on-time delivery and prices that are in line with the market are a matter of course for us.
The cooperative partnership and ongoing dialogue with our suppliers and customers brings us to an ongoing creative process, developing permanently new qualities. We strive to optimise the energy efficiency of our plant as well as the energy saving potential.
Periodic audit visits, the evaluation and revaluation of statistical indicators in the framework of a consequent energy and environmental management helps us to improve even more each day.
Not only systematic laboratory tests and sewage water monitoring are part of the action plan but also continuously sensitizing employees working at the machines to reflect upon the environmental consequences of their everyday activities.
